'Thank You' marks Ball's second solo single of the year since her well-received debut solo release 'Upside Down' with TMRW Music. Raised in Melbourne, Jess was inspired to traverse the world of pop music from a very young age.

In 2020, the Australian took over the streaming world, pushing past 13 million streams, with her intimate voice on her first-ever feature, with EDX on 'I Found You'. The track peaked #1 on the Future House Beatport Charts as well as #38 in SiriusXM Electro's Top songs of the year.

This initiated more collaborations the same year, with the likes of NERVO, Curbi, etc.

Jess kicked off Early 2021 with another feature aside EDX on 'Take Me Home', which showcased a deeper side of Jess's song-writing and tone!

Solo Career

Amidst all the features and collaborations, Ball continued to write and create her own music. Past June, the world finally got a taste of what Jess had been keeping to herself with the release of 'Upside Down'! The debut solo single showcased Jess's infectious indie-pop sound, clutching instant support from NovaKIISAsh London, and MTV

'Thank You' is Jess's follow-up release, and Ball is definitely not holding back on this one! The songwriter confronts the irritable emotions one goes through post-breakup.

Tackling the annoyance with a satirical twist, Jess explains:

Though the song sings 'Thank You,' it really means 'Screw You,' giving the song a really sarcastic tone throughout. Most people could probably think of a time where they haven't been treated well, or have been stuffed around by someone, and this is a tribute to all of them. While some relationships serve you some good and teach you lessons worth learning, others are a complete waste of time!

Complementing the narrative Ball is describing, the music annexes an edgy and subtly skittish mood to the whole track. From the crunchy dual coil riffs to the deliberately dampened & almost boomy drum kit, Jess effortlessly convinces her listeners of the message she intended to deliver! The summer tune is a must-add for anyone irked after a breakup, and the early support from everyone on 'Thank You' marks yet another testament to the excitement her listeners are unfurling towards Jess's music!
